About the Brand

The best producing vineyards in the Mosel region are located along the Mosel river, where the sun’s heat is maximized by reflections of the water, increased sunlight exposure aids in ripening of the grapes. Soil in this area is also dominated by porous slate, which has ideal drainage for the heavy rainfall typical to the region.

Oh…Schist! Riesling is made from grapes harvested by hand along the Mosel River. This wine is crafted by a family owned winery in the village of Minheim, which is renowned for rigorous testing and production of first- class wines as rated by the Blaue Band, as association of wine makers dedicated to regulating standards for premium quality Riesling.
