Marabino, meaning “land of the beloved sun,” is a biodynamic farm that works in harmony with nature. Since 2002, they have been producing wines that reflect the essence of the Val di Noto, Sicily. With a landscape rich in biodiversity, a true ecosystem, with over two kilometers of Mediterranean scrub hedges, aromatic herbs, heirloom fruit trees, carob trees, and thousands of olive trees that blend seamlessly with the vineyards. At Marabino, they grow everything biodynamically, without purchasing grapes or wine from third parties, and focus on the most typical wine varietals of the land, such as Nero d’Avola and Moscato Bianco.
Since 2008, the company has practiced biodynamics, a holistic approach that views the farm as a “living organism” interconnected with the environment and natural forces. These wines are the result of cultivation that respects the soil, its plants, and the animals that inhabit it. The 29 hectares of our vineyards are located on low hills, just a few kilometers from the sea. These plots enjoy excellent exposure and a very mild microclimate, characterized by both heat and light during the summer. Hand-harvested grapes are fermented spontaneously, without the addition of any oenological additives. Marabino produces natural wines that express the true essence of our terroir, working in harmony with nature and respecting the rhythms of the earth.
